Mental Health Nursing

Our Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) provide integrated and recovery-oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug and alcohol issues, and their families.

Our mental health nurses provide care and treatment to consumers and their families during mental health crises and transition period across acute inpatient units, community health centres and specialised services.

We currently have opportunities for junior and experienced registered psychiatric nurses across all of our sites as we undergo substantial expansion as a result of broader mental health reforms, including outcomes from the Royal Commission.

Why extend your mental health nursing career with us?

Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that value client-centredness, holistic care, accessibility, family inclusiveness, best practice, and ongoing professional development.

We are fortunate to enjoy excellent internal relationships and have developed excellent partnerships with the local community that provide for seamless integrated care for our clients.
